Finlay Bason-Healey
I'm Finlay Bason-Healey, a third-year Film and TV student. Throughout the course I've worn a number of hats, including editing short films, recording and mixing sound, writing screenplays and directing magazine show-style TV projects. Ultimately the role I aspire to is as a full-time writer and director of feature films, and I feel as though my versatility and exploration of virtually every aspect of production throughout the past three years has set me in good stead as I seek to involve myself in further projects.

As a young adult living in a media-orientated world I find film and tv has influenced me my entire life. I think if I had not seen certain productions during certain times in my life I would not be the person I am today. Films are able to have such a monumental impact on individuals in ways we won’t even know, communicate with people we will never meet - they connect us all together. Being part of that and leading such a production, as a producer, that has that kind of impact on people is an amazing achievement and something I strive to take part in. |
Roan Hair
My name is Roan Hair, and I am currently in my third and final year studying film and TV at the University of Cumbria. I’m primarily interested in editing, but I also greatly enjoy writing and directing. I have managed a YouTube channel for the last ten years which has chronicled my filmmaking journey and the evolution of my skills. A second YouTube channel I run is comprised of video essays that analyse popular films, video games and television series. Many of these videos have amassed thousands of views, with the most popular reaching over 34 thousand views. |

The field I am applying for is that of Producer. My main reasons for doing this are based on the experience and skills I have acquired from various university projects. I often feel I lack the technical skills needed for camera operating or editing, I believe however I make up for this with my interpersonal skills. I also feel that as I have matured as an adult, my organisation and time management skills have had a positive impact. And as a big fan of TV generally, being able to oversee all aspects of production makes this role ideal for me. |
Chloe Lane
The field that I wish to apply for would first be as a runner on movie sets. My dream is to be a director but as a starting point it would be as a runner. By applying to be a runner or an assistant I can gain more experience and knowledge that will eventually help me climb up the ladder to reach my end goal of directing.I'm experienced in producing, directing, scripting and editing. I have worked on all aspects of pre-production, production and post-production of movies and tv shows. I'm the most skilled in pre-production. |

My name is Cameron Park I’m a third year film and TV student and heading for a career in camera operation. Through studying, I have developed my skills in teamwork, solo project management, and have gained sizeable knowledge of key equipment; including tripods, rigs, lighting, and multiple camera and lens types. Understanding what its like to work for other companies and what they desire in candidates has helped shape how I view the industry and my future within it |
Jordan Perry
After university, I aim to pursue freelance video editing and potentially teaching. I really enjoy making videos for platforms such as YouTube. I’ve been editing now for nearly five years, and I’ve already made a few contacts in the industry. My final major project is called Paper Boats and is also something I've been working on for about 5 years. I started writing it in 2019, and it’s a about living a mundane life and wanting to break free, touching on some serious points but also some more light-hearted ones. The film is my passion project and something I’ve wanted to make for a long time. |
Conner Radtke
I’m Conner Radtke, I’m 24 years old and I want to work in the field of cinematography within the film industry as I love the technical and physical aspects of filmmaking and the dedication within that field to craft and achieve other people’s vision and allows me to express myself and show off my creativity to a large extent. Over the course of my time at university I’ve gained experience utilizing different cameras (Specifically Canon 600d, 700d, C100, C200, Lumix GH5 and Blackmagic broadcasting camera) as well as learned an array of filming techniques utilizing different compositions and lenses. Furthermore, the university has also provided me with work experience within the industry, such as working as a Location Marshal on the set of Mission Impossible and other works such as the Carlisle Fire show. |
Edward Stillmank
Over the last four years as a student, I've had the pleasure of working alongside my peers, honing my skills regarding camera operation/composition, video editing, sound design/recording, and directing. I've acted in numerous student & personal projects, which I thoroughly enjoyed. However, idea generation and writing is my true passion, something solidified after a TV show module in which we created a TV Series. I was engrossed in all aspects of what it took to construct a successful show. I hope by combining my multifaceted experiences and creative instincts, I can craft compelling narratives in dynamic environments, captivating audiences. |
Hatte J Vickerton
Throughout my studies, I discovered that my favourite element of filmmaking is worldbuilding. Whether it be through screenwriting or production design, my research, in-depth development and planning, and eye for detail enhance my storytelling abilities. This enables me to create well rounded characters and detailed settings.Inspired by my own life experience, my final major project is the TV pilot script for anoriginal series called Closing Hours. Closing Hours is a comedy-drama that follows thelives of a group of 20-somethings thrown together and bonded by bartending. Alongside the pilot script, I have also created pitch and promotion materials including alookbook and poster, beginning to bring my vision to life. |
