IoA DEGREE SHOW 2023 / COMMUNITY
Menu
I’m reluctant to begin another end of year statement by mentioning covid, but in this case it is the proverbial elephant in the room. The undergraduates presented here are those whose experience has been the most affected by the pandemic. The initial shock of adjusting, overnight, to remote learning and working from home, landed in only their second semester in 2020, and so has played a significant role in their entire degree experience. They are the last of the "lockdown students" to graduate, and before they go, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them for making those days a lot less difficult. Their attitude and character made things immeasurably easier. That was and remains, appreciated.
And so, to more positive outpourings... These graduates are a diverse bunch with personality in spades. Children’s book illustrators, comic book geeks, concept artists, fairy tale and medieval inspired painters (really), They’ve got it covered and we look forward to seeing their journeys continue in interesting/unexpected/exciting/odd directions. As a cohort and as individuals, they have proved themselves to be remarkably resilient and talented creatives. To see more of their work, please follow the links to their websites and social media accounts. |
